Getting to Koh Tao
Over the years transport to Koh Tao via boat has become very comfortable, much safer and all boats show a movie to pass the 1hr 30 minute journey, one of the main transport companies to our island is the Lomprayah company (www.lomprayah.com) or there is the Seatran discovery (www.seatrandiscovery.com).
There are a number of ways to finally arrive on our lovely island, from Bangkok- You can either fly via Bangkok airways (http://www.bangkokair.com/)to Koh Samui and connect with either boat services, or if you are on a budget then you might wish to use the daily coach service with either the seatran/lomprayah company, both companies provide new luxury coaches, all air-coned and entertainment system on board.
Travellers coming by land from either Malaysia or coming from the West coast of Thailand usually takes the Night boat service either from- Surat Thanni night boat leaves at 11pm and arrives around 5am, while the night boat from Chumphon leaves at midnight and arrives around 6am.
